Yacht Cruising Chicago's Famous Skyline - Location: Burnham Harbor
Banquet-Style Buffet Set-Up/Buffet Take-Down and Customer Service Position. This position is a Part-Time and Seasonal Position from May to October.

Exciting and challenging positions available for the right candidates. Luxury Cruise Yacht Valara VI in Chicago serves exclusive private events while cruising along Chicago's Famous Skyline.

Our customers are Chicago and U.S. Corporations, Weddings and Fine Family Gatherings. We are offering a unique opportunity for the right candidates to join our family oriented team to serve our customers. Boaters and boaters young adult kids are welcome. Frequently we have 2 parties per day and sometimes 3 parties in one day. Very good pay.

Food Service Job Summary:

Duties include but are not limited to: Welcoming guests on board as they arrive at the yacht. Direct customer greeting and customer contact is involved. Complete check-in of delivered catered food. Complete buffet-style food set-up, maintenance of buffet when customers are serving themselves, take down of buffet and storage of food after meal is completed and other miscellaneous duties.

This work environment is on-board a yacht; which is very different than working in a restaurant. Boat rocking environment can make this job difficult for some, which is why we are targeting boaters for this job. Going up and down stairs many times during each party is involved in this job. Safety is also a factor when working on boats. We provide full safety and emergency training on this job.

Bartending Job Summary:

Making drinks for our customers, plate pick-up and throw away, vacuuming and garbage take-out and other miscellaneous tasks. Boat rocking environment can make this job difficult for some, which is why we are targeting boaters for this job. Safety is also a factor when working on boats. We provide full safety and emergency training on this job.

Candidate Requirements:

Previous work on-board a boat is desirable. Punctuality and ability to keep schedule commitments is a must. Flexible availability during summer is essential. Take-charge attitude and teamwork personalities work very well with these jobs.
