A MESSAGE FROM THE CAPTAIN….
Hello, I am Captain Val and if you’ve been aboard VALARA over the past many years, it was my pleasure to meet you. First I wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart for entrusting my company, myself and our crew with your very special events over the years. The many annual corporate events and family outings, each had their own flavor and provided many great memories. For you companies, who through thick and thin economies over these many years that kept returning to our company… for you I will be forever grateful. The many special weddings we’ve had on board, I have a special memory of every single one of you couples. My employees both present and past, some of you were like family to me, some of you still are. Some gave much of their hearts to this business as well. You know who you are and memories of each one of you also will always be with me.
IMPORTANT NEWS: As of November 30, 2019, my beautiful 87-foot yacht has been sold. I know it is sad, we’ve had many great times and memories aboard this yacht, all of us have those to keep forever. Please know this, I am now 80 years old. I built this yacht with my own hands; my heart, soul and blood are in this boat. It was my life. This is a huge yacht because my dreams were big. However, there is only one of me and it was past time for me to stop working so hard. This was a big decision for me.
The good news is that VALARA is now in great hands. It was sold to a Cleveland, Ohio man who has the young blood, the money and the attitude to keep her going for many years to come. Congratulations to her new owner, Gregg Mylett of River Rock Yacht Charters. Currently she is under renovation to serve Gregg’s vision for her future of service. VALARA’s new name is going to be MOONSHADOW. If anyone is capable of weathering the Covid-19 storm, it is this man and I am excited to see her again once his renovations are completed…. I think. I say this only because her new look likely will be very modern and I am a Rolls Royce kind of man who loves the older styles. However, I am very sure she will look outstanding. Below is picture of her new owner, Gregg and myself the day they left and cruised the VALARA into Cleveland, Ohio.
